Alumni - Page 8 (June 2012 to October 2013)

Our graduates are listed here with their stories. Please click on a picture or link below to see that alum's page.

Graduates are presented from the most recent to the first.

KatieThis little cutie pie comes to us from the Calaveras Humane Society. Katie is a young adult female that the vet's think she is about 2 years old. She has obviously had two to three litters of puppies but that does not take away from her cuteness!! Katie is a very social little girl and we a guessing she is a cross between a Boxer and a Catahoula Leopard Dog. She probably has some other breed mixed in as well.

Our very special little girl Katie is off to her new home near Valley Springs. She is going to live with a very special lady who has always owned Boxers. Even though Katie is not a purebred dog, it was love at first sight for both of them.

SunshineLittle Miss Sunshine (I think she looks like Tootsie) comes to us from the kind folks at the Amador County Animal Control and Adoption Center. Sunshine is 6 months old and looks like she could be a purebred Boxer. When she first arrived at the ranch she was a very wild little girl. Fortunately, she is a very smart and willing dog and she just loves to be with people and to practice her obedience.

Sunshine if off to her new home in the Camanche area. She will have acreage to run and play on and a family to give her all the love, attention and care a little girl could ask for.

Mama BearMoma Bear is being sponsored by Marge` and Cal. Mama was found abandoned in South Lake Tahoe at the 7 Eleven store. As you can see, Mama has not missed to many meals in her lifetime. She weighed in at 112 pounds on an 80 pound frame. Even her head was fat!!

Because of her advanced age and her arthritic joints, Marge` & Brian decided she should just stay right here at the ranch with them. Mama moved into the cabin shortly after she was rescued and has done very well. Mama is 29 pounds lighter!! She loves her new life on the ranch and everyone that she meets fall in love with her.

HowieHowie comes to us from the Amador County Animal Control and Adoption Center. He is about 9 months old and per his previous owners, he is a Pit Bull mix. Auntie Marge` does not see any Pit Bull in him however! To us, he looks more like a Jack Russell/Corgi cross! All we know is, no matter what he is, he is pretty darn cute!!!!

Our little scared boy Howie is off to his new home right here in Jackson. One of our clients recently lost her beloved Schnauzer to cancer and she just couldn't handle coming home to an empty house. She came out and met little Howie and fell in love.

MeekaMeeka is a very pretty 9 month old German Shepherd that we rescued from the Stockton City Shelter. When she first arrived at the ranch she was a real wild child. Leaping, jumping, licking, and pulling on her leash are just a few of her nasty little habits! Fortunately she is a very smart and willing girl and we have already fixed most of these behaviors.

Our beautiful girl Meeka has finally found her forever home. We have said that before but just like our Second Chance girl Luna, we just keep trying until we find that perfect home. Meeka's new dad is a stay at home guy and when he does travel his dog always travels with him.

Sadie SueLittle Sadie Sue comes to us from the kind folks at the Calaveras Humane Society. She is about 7 months old and looks like she is a Pointer mix. She must have a little terrier in her somewhere as she has a patch of very coarse and curly hair on her back. Sadie Sue is very friendly and playful with everyone she meets, people and dogs alike! Sadie Sue loves to practice her obedience lessons and seems to be very smart and willing.

Sadie Sue is off to her new home in Portland Oregon!! This lucky dog will be living with a very experienced dog owner who is interested in training her to become a SAR dog. We could not have hoped for a better home for her.

BelleBelle comes to us from the Calaveras Humane Society. She is about 10 months old and is a shy little girl who will need a quiet home and family. Once she gets to know you she is very friendly but it does take her awhile to come up to a stranger. She is not aggressive at all, just fearful. Belle looks like she is a Lab mix and she gets along nicely with other dogs. She does not have any destructive behavior and has very clean kennel manners.

We thought we were going to have Miss Belle for a long time due to her shy personality. We were wrong!! She is off to her new home in Stockton to live with a couple who came out to meet her and fell in love immediately.

NikkiNikki comes to us from the Calaveras shelter and is a sponsored dog. She is probably between 1 and 2 years old and looks like she is a Basenji cross. Nikki is a very active girl and a real goof ball!! She adores everyone that she meets and loves to come out and practice her obedience lessons. When she first comes out of her kennel she is a bit on the wild side but it doesn't take her long to settle down and work.

Our very pretty girl Nikki is off to her new home in Gardnerville Nevada. She is a very lucky dog that will have two loving parents and an older dog to play with. We have already received some very cute pictures of Nikki sleeping on her very own big fluffy bed in her new mom's office.

Tyler (now Keats)Tyler came to us from the kind folks at the Calaveras Humane Society. He is approximately 18 months old and looks like he is a cross between an American Bulldog and Pointer. Tyler came to us because of his over the top wild and obnoxious behavior. He is a big boy and incredibly strong to boot! He also is a very affectionate and willing dog that just loves everyone that he meets.

Our newly reformed wild child is off to his new home in Avery. The poor boy will have 750 acres to run and play on and a loving mom & dad to care for him. They have named him Keats and have promised to bring him by for a visit when they are in this neck of the woods.

HollyHolly comes to us from the Amador County Animal Control and Adoption Center. She looks like she is a pure bred Akita and the vets think she is about 3 years old. She is a very sweet and loving girl that does not appear to have any bad habits other than having some barrier aggression. When certain dogs come up to her kennel she will bark and growl at them.

Well, we did not anticipate having Miss Holly very long but we did not think she would be off to her new home this fast. She is a lucky girl who will have acreage to run and play on and a loving family to give her everything she will ever need. The best part is...she will be living just a few miles away from the ranch.

PiperPiper comes to us from the Calaveras Humane Society and what a cutie pie she is.... she is approximately 2-3 years old but acts a lot younger. She is a Lab/Boxer mix. Piper just loves to play with her squeaky toys and also plays soccer.

Our very pretty girl Piper is off to her new home and what a lucky girl she is. Piper just adores kids and we were hoping to find a home for her with children. Piper hit the jackpot!! Her new family had six kids with four still at home and the best part is...they are home schooled so Piper will never be home alone.

ChesterChester is a sponsored dog that came out of the Tuolumne County Animal Shelter. He is 1 to 1 1/2 years old and looks like he is a Border Collie/Flat-Coated Retriever mix. He is a very sweet and loving boy that definitely needs a second chance.

Our boy Chester just hit the jackpot today!!  We were looking for a home that had an active lifestyle and children to keep this boy busy and that is exactly what we found. His new mom likes to take her dog on bike rides in the country. His new dad likes to hike and rock climb and he has two wonderful young and active kids to play with.

MayaThis very pretty girl came to us from the Stockton City Shelter. She is about 2 years old and is just a sweet as can be. She and a male GSD were picked up by the Stockton Animal Control and the owners did not want to pay the fee to bail out Maya. This is their loss and our gain!! Maya is a very social and affectionate girl who just loves everyone she meets including all the dogs here at the ranch.

Our beautiful girl Maya is off to her new home in Pine Grove just 3 miles from the ranch. She will have a loving family to give her everything she needs and she will have property to explore. Her new owners are grandparents and they babysit their granddaughter three days a week. Maya must have been around babies in her previous home, she just adores the 8 month old granddaughter.

RicoRico hails from the Calaveras Humane Society. He is about 8 months old and is cross between a Cattle Dog and something really big!  Sometimes I see German Shepherd or maybe Akita but the only one that knows is Rico and he is not telling us a thing.  He seems to be very smart and willing when it comes to his obedience training.

Our little clown Rico is off to his new home right here in Jackson. One of our clients who already has a Cattle Dog mix was out for a lesson and she fell in love with Rico. Rico will have a nice big fenced yard to keep him safe, a buddy to play with, cats to keep him in line and a very loving mom!

MakuaMakua hails from the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center and he is a purebred German Shepherd Dog. Makua is a special needs dog that is looking for a home where he will have a stable lifestyle. He is 3 years old and he has never been socialized with people or other dogs. In the short time that he has been at the ranch he has improved immensely and has gone from a shivering, growling, and very fearful dog to a very happy boy.

Makua is off to his new home in Valley Springs. This lucky boy will have 30 acres to romp and play on, two loving parents and beautiful female German Shepherd to play with. It is incredible how much Makua changed while he was with us! He will never be a real confident dog but he now will go up to new people without turning into a shivering puddle of German Shepherd goo.

AxelAxel comes to us from the wonderful people at the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center. Axel is about 8 months old and looks like he is a cross between a Border Collie and something black! Other than being a total wild child he is a very smart and willing boy. He has a very sweet, affectionate and loving side to him, that after he settles down he is a real pleasure to be with.

Well, that didn't take long at all!! Axel is off to his new home in Pine Grove with one of my clients! His new owners had come out for a lesson with their 14 month old German Shepherd, they met Axel and the rest is history!!

SydneySydney is a sponsored dog that comes to us from the Calaveras County Animal Control. I have a wonderful couple who over the years has sponsored dogs in the Second Chance Program.  Sydney didn't have much of a chance to be adopted due to her age and condition. She was guessed to be at least five years old and was about 15 pounds underweight.

Our very special girl is off to her new home in San Francisco! Her new owner works just 2 days a week and will have the rest of her time to spoil Sydney rotten. We are looking forward to getting updates and photo's from her new mom.

JollyJolly is an owner sponsored boy who is looking for his new forever home. Jolly is AKC registered and is a 5 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. His owners can no longer keep him and they want to find him the perfect home. Jolly is house broken, loves all people and is good with cats. Jolly is a little unsure when he is around other dogs and his owners think he would do best in a home without other dogs.

Our wonderful little man Jolly is off to his new home right here in Jackson. He has been adopted by very dear friends of ours that we have known since 1987! Jolly's new owners are both retired so he will never have to left home alone. He will be taking long walks every day and has a beautiful home and yard to call his own.

ScoutScout comes to us from the Calaveras Humane Society and what a great dog he is!! Mr. Mellow is what his name should be, however, someone dubbed him Scout. He is a Red Merle Queensland mix breed who weighs 56 pounds, is about 1-2 years old. This boy had been locked up for two weeks, came out of the kennel like a dream. Walked beautifully on leash, was not hyper after his kennel time, he greeted all the humans and other dogs very nicely and respectfully. Scout is one good boy.

Our mellow boy Scout is off to his new home outside of Jackson and only a few miles away from Twin Cedar Ranch. He has a wonderful family and property to play on. He is one lucky boy!

Daisy MaeDaisy Mae comes to us from the kind folks at the Amador County Animal Control & Adoption Center. She is a 9 month old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix that is just as cute as can be. Just look at those baby blue eyes! It is a good thing she is a cute as she is because it helped to make up for her wild and obnoxious behavior!!

We could not have hoped for a better home for our little blue eyed beauty! She is off to her new home outside of Plymouth on 80 acres. She will have other dogs to romp and play with and children that she can help burn off energy with!

PippaHi, my name is Pippa and I am the cutest little girl you ever did see! I am just over one year old and the folks at the Amador Animal Control & Adoption Center think I am a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua cross. Auntie Margè says I am just brilliant!! In the short time that I have been at Twin Cedar Ranch I have already mastered a perfect heel, auto sit, down and stay.

Our big dog that is trapped in a little body is off to her new home right here in Pine Grove. Pippa now has a wonderful home with Kim, beautiful property and a new mom that will give her everything she could ever want. The best part is Pippa will be out at the ranch every weekend continuing her training, going on pack walks and helping out future Second Chance Kids.

Little LilLittle Lil comes to us from the Calaveras Humane Society and is a real sweetheart! If you want a really cool dog without having to go through puppyhood, this girl is for you! She is about 3 years old and is a cross between a Cattle Dog and a Border Collie.

Little Lil has finally found her forever home!! She has been with us for almost three months and had really become part of the Twin Cedar Pack. We will miss her very much but she is one lucky little dog. She has a family to love and care for her and the best part is....she has a new mom who works from home so she will always have a person to be with.

SophieSophie is a pretty little girl that comes to us from the Amador County Animal Control and Adoption Center. Her paperwork states she is a 2 year old lab mix.  We actually see more hound in her than we do lab, but only Sophie knows what her parents looked like and she is not telling us.

Well that certainly didn't take long but we didn't think we would have this little girl for too long. Sophie is off to her new home near Fresno where she will have property to run and play on and a family to give her all the love a little girl could ask for.

DutchessHi, my name is Dutchess and I am about 10 to 12 months old. I am a German Shepherd mix and Auntie Marge` has no idea what else is in me. She does say that I am a very nice little girl that needs a second chance at life. I was picked up as a stray in Calaveras County so nobody knows my history. Since I have been at Twin Cedar K9, getting training and socialization, I am doing much better! Little Lil is my roommate and we just love to romp and play together and we even go swimming in the big swimming pool that is in are yard.

Our little cutie pie Dutchess is off to her new home in Copperopolis where she will have 20 acres (totally dog fenced) to romp and play on. We couldn't have asked for a better home for this little girl.

ChanceChance is an Amador County boy that is looking for his forever home. He is about 1 year old and is a Anatolian cross. Chance joined us at twin Cedar K9 because none of the male dogs at the shelter liked him. Once we got him out here it didn't take us long to figure out why! He was a very dominant boy and even though he was not aggressive the other males didn't like to be pushed around by him.

Chance is off to his new home in Plymouth and you guessed it... He has property to romp and play on and a loving family to provide him with everything he could ever wish for.

Meeka is off to her new home in Sutter Creek.  We were looking for a home for her where her owners would be home most of the time. Well we lucked out with her new owners!  She has a retired dad and a stay-at-home mom, what more could we ask for!

BJBJ (aka Katie) is an Amador County girl and is just as cute as can be. She is about 9 months old and is possibly a Whippet cross. She had been at the shelter for over two months and nobody had shown any interest in this cutie pie.

BJ now known as Katie is off to her new home in Pioneer. She is a very lucky little girl that has a wonderful new family and a home to call her own.
