Bebe

Bebe arrived last Sunday, Oct 23rd. She came from the folks at the Calaveras Humane Society. She is about a year old, spayed and a not-so-trim 55 lbs. But, she is now on a diet and exercise program, so she be in even better shape soon!

Bebe is just a love and is all about walking around and checking things out. But, she loves her people and when out wants to be with you more than anything else. So far, her favorite activity is training! When she hears the lead and training collar, up she comes with tail wagging, saying "lets go!" And it's no wonder because she is very smart. She learns fast and once she knows something she loves to show off.

Learning to walk with a loose leash at the heel position didn't take long. Her expression might look a little goofy, but your laugh is her reward. If worked with lots of love and praise she is so happy it is hard to believe she was given up.

She keeps saying "What's next?" When we started showing what down was about, she wasn't sure but in only three sessions, she works like a pro! She works for love and praise more than anything else. Treats? They're great but she wants to be part of your family more that anything else.

Bebe is a gentle girl and loves to play. She would be great with kids.  She will learn quickly any new games and how to play nicely. Currently, she knows how to heel with a loose lead, sit when asked and auto-sit. That is where when heeling if you stop when will quietly sit at you side without your having to ask her. She will lie down on command, either by voice and hand signal. She is learning recalls and finish moves after the recall.

Bebe would be best as your only dog. She is social with all the dogs here but she can be defensive of her food. She has no problems with people. We have tested her with food, bones and treats and she is not aggressive toward people at all. But she will bark at other dogs that approach her bowl

Bebe says "Come out and watch me work! And I'll play as long as you want!" She will be ready to go this week. So if you are looking for a new companion, Bebe just might be your girl! All she needs is a chance!
