September 17, 2011 - Update

Gilligan has been adopted by a wonderful family that will give him everything he will ever need in life.

He has a new little sister, a very active little Border Collie that will keep him on his toes!

Both dogs will be coming back for obedience training so we will be able to see this very special boy.

Gilligan Arrives at Twin Cedar

Gilligan is a very happy go lucky boy who comes to us from the Amador County Shelter. He is about 2 - 3 years old and looks like he is a Aussi mix.

He came to us because he was showing some barrier aggression towards other dogs when they went past his kennel. Gilly has beautiful focus and really want to please his trainers.

It didn't take us long to convince Gilly that he really
shouldn't be charging the fence at other dogs and that
he could actually play with them instead.

When we brought him up to the house to test him with our resident kitty tester T.C., Gilly had very good house manners. He did not try to counter surf or climb on any of the furniture and was very good with T.C.

It is unknown if he is housebroken but because of his manners in the house we would guess that he probably is.

Because Aussi's are an active breed, we are looking for a home with a large fenced yard and maybe a buddy for him to play with.

If that is you.... please give us a call to set up an appointment to meet this great dog!
