Thunder

Here's our newest handsome guy, Thunder! He comes to us from the Calaveras Humane Society. Thunder is about 2 years old and looks like a Australian Shepherd/Lab mix. He is a very happy, friendly and confident little guy.

He loves to be out and walking on the lead. Heeling was a natural and learning to sit and down just seemed too easy for him. When he understands what is being asked he looks up, saying "how about that?!". He just lights up when praised and his expression is something special. It is impossible not to laugh when working with him. The more he works the more his personality comes out.

Thunder is very social and friendly with all the other dogs. Currently, Bailey is his Second Chance roommate. They play most of the day, but neither of them fuss when one is out for training or a walk.

Being social and well behaved is a critical part of the program and Thunder had no problems with this since the day he arrived.

Here Thunder shows his tail-up-ready-to-go attitude. He can't wait to work with you and his tail barely stops the whole time. He learns quickly and would do very well in a home where he could continue his training. He could learn any number of activates from agility to obedience and just about any other game you could come up with.

But watch out if you take him to any events, he's a star and attracts lots of attention!
